See that little spark traveling across? That's the secret right there. One neuron answers a question, and passes its answer to the next neuron. Then that one passes its answer along too. It's like a chain of friends whispering, each one adding a tiny idea.

Look — each tall column of neurons has a name. We call them layers. The first layer grabs the stuff coming in. The middle layers, those are the thinkers, hidden away doing the work. And the last layer? It just shouts out the answer.

Okay, here's the cool part. Every layer notices something a little smarter than the layer before it. It's like the network keeps zooming out, seeing bigger and bigger ideas. Let me show you what I mean.

Say we want the AI to spot a cat. The first layer just sees tiny dots — pixels. The next layer connects dots into edges. Then edges become shapes, shapes become eyes and ears, and finally — boom — the last layer says, that's a cat!

Think of it like Lego. You start with one tiny brick — a pixel. Snap a few together, you get an edge. A few edges make a shape. Shapes make an eye. And before you know it, the whole cat is sitting right there.
